Case study

Simon Law Group

Simon Law Group saw good cases sitting in a referral marketplace that cost too much to act on. Finch turned that feed into a second pipeline — proposals out the same day a case posts, with no new headcount.

The problem

Personal injury referral marketplaces are full of good cases. Real injuries, real clients who found a firm that couldn't take them and got passed along. Most of those cases sit longer than they should.

Not because firms don't want them. Because acting on a referral marketplace is operationally expensive. Someone has to watch the feed, screen every case against the firm's criteria, call the client, run intake, get the retainer signed, open the claim, chase records. For most firms that's too much lift for cases that aren't already in the door. So the cases pile up, and people who needed help don't get it.

The platform

Attorney Share built one of the largest legal referral marketplaces in the country. Supply was never the issue. What was missing was a way for firms to act on that supply without building an internal operation around it.

That changed when Attorney Share released its MCP server, which lets an AI agent connect to the marketplace and operate it directly: read the feed, screen every case against a firm's criteria, submit proposals, and trigger intake on its own.

We built an MCP server so an AI agent can work the marketplace on its own. Agentic AI isn't a demo for us. It's real cases getting to real firms, fast. What Finch built on top of it is exactly what we envisioned.

The engine

Finch is a pre-litigation team for plaintiff personal injury firms. Not software, a team. Bilingual paralegals, case managers, and legal-ops staff who embed with a firm and run the case from intake through demand.

On top of Attorney Share's MCP server, Finch built a pipeline for Simon Law Group that runs without anyone manually touching the feed. Cases matching SLG's criteria get proposals submitted the same day they're posted. When a proposal is accepted, Finch's intake team qualifies the client and gets the retainer signed. From there the case runs: claims opened, letters of representation out, police reports pulled, records requested and chased, client check-ins on schedule, liens tracked, and a demand package assembled and transmitted on time.

What changed

Proposals go out the same day a case is posted. Speed to lead is most of the game on a marketplace, and it was the thing nobody had bandwidth for.

Every client who signed has stayed: 100% retention on Finch-managed cases. That number is the one to sit with, because retention is what happens when a case gets worked properly and the client can feel it.

Cases arrive at the attorneys already worked up. By the time a matter reaches an SLG lawyer, intake is done, the claim is open, and records are moving. It's a second pipeline, running in parallel to main inbound in three states, with no new headcount.

Access to justice requires speed to lead. Our firm is using Finch to quickly vet every opportunity in Attorney Share that matches the folks we can help. This is what access to justice looks like when you stop waiting for it to happen and build the infrastructure to make it happen.

The wider point

A lot of firms watch the referral marketplace and do nothing with it, because the operational cost of acting is higher than the expected value of any single case. This model changes that math. The infrastructure handles the volume, the attorneys handle the law, and cases that would have sat get worked. Agentic legal ops isn't coming down the road. It's already running.
